As reported by Censor.NET citing the NSDC press office, this was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov during his visit to Artem State Joint Stock Holding Company, which is part of the State Concern "Ukroboronprom".
The official inspected a new processing line producing missile bodies, which was installed by Artem engineers jointly with foreign partners. According to him, in the nearest future, mass production of missile bodies will be launched on this unique processing line, which will "reliably protect our country".
"This equipment is unique because missiles are manufactured from superalloys which must withstand tremendous pressure and temperature. Therefore, even insignificant microscopic defects are unacceptable for these products," Turchynov said.
"We do not copy someone's technology, but provide a new quality of our weapons and their superiority over Russian counterparts," he added. Answering the journalists' questions, the NSDC secretary stressed that thanks to the work of the Ukrainian defense industry, the shortage of ammunition and missiles required by Ukrainian Armed Forces would be eliminated.
Turchynov also dwelled on the launch of the production by Artem SJHC of bodies for 152-mm projectiles by modernizing and upgrading the powerful press equipment, as well as on Ukroboronprom's plans to create new modern processing lines that would ensure the production of wide-range ammunition. These issues were discussed at a meeting of the NSDC secretary with the defense concern's top management.
