The Pechersk district court of Kyiv started hearing on pretrial restriction on Oleksandr Volkov, the person indicted with charges of abduction of Ihor Lutsenko (the now Batkivshchyna Party faction MP) and activist Yurii Verbytskyi.
Prosecutors Prykhodko and Smirnov request to extend the suspect's pretrial detention for another two months.

As reported, in January 2014, during Euromaidan events, activists Ihor Lutsenko and Yurii Verbytskyi were abducted by unknown people from the territory of the Oleksandrivska Hospital and taken out of the city. After being tortured, they were abandoned in a forest. Verbytskyi died of his injuries.
