The event was attended by the families of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, relatives of the dead and missing Ukrainian soldiers, military and civil volunteers, anti-terrorist operation veterans, medics, chaplains and ordinary Ukrainians.
No political slogans were present at the event. The participants carried the portraits of their relatives - those who died or went missing in the ATO zone or during the Euromaidan.
Some participants carried sunflowers - a symbol of the breakthrough from the Ilovaisk encirclement. The march started on the Bessarabska Square and ended on the Mykhailivska Square outside Mykhailivskyi Cathedral, where the participants prayed for the deceased defenders of Ukraine.
