"All I want is to see Oleh at large, hug my son. I’d love to live to see it," - Ukrainian political prisoner Oleh Sentsov's mother. VIDEO

Mother of Russian-held Ukrainian political prisoner Oleh Sentsov Liudmyla expects the Ukrainian authorities to contribute to his release and hopes to live to see her son’s return.

As reported by Censor.NET, Liudmyla Sentsova, who still lives in her native village in Russian-occupied Crimea, said in an interview with Hromadske.TV.

"I miss him so much. I always wish I saw 'Oleh's cell' on my phone's display as I receive a call.

"All I want is to see Oleh at large, hug my son. I'd love to live to see it.

"It is too hard for me to visit him in Yakutia. I'm afraid I will not survive such a journey [approx. 5,500 kilometers - ed.]. Oleh opposes it as well: it's too far, too expensive, and it will be hard to leave after a three-day visit... What other choices do I have? Re-read his letters I receive so seldom and keep hope alive that Ukraine will not forget about Oleh. He very much hopes that his country will not leave him alone," Sentsova said.
