"People, hardware were torn in tatters in 'green corridor'," - Kyiv commemorates victims of Ilovaisk tragedy. VIDEO
The Ukrainian capital marks the anniversary of the Ilovaisk tragedy of 2014 on its Mykhailivska (St. Michael's) Square, paying tribute to those killed and missing in the so-called "green corridor" after a violent onslaught by Russian occupants.
As reported by Censor.NET citing 5 Channel, a symbolic corridor of sunflowers and empty shell casings was made up outside the St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery. Photographs and personal belongings of the victims are exhibited at the walls of the monastery.
Survived Ilovaisk fighters and relatives of the fallen soldiers came to honor the memory of Ukrainian warriors.
