Public is bidding its last farewell to journalist Pavel Sheremet, killed in Kyiv July 20. The ceremony is held in Ukrainskyi Dim at Evropeiska Square in Kyiv.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Radio Svoboda, the coffin with Sheremet's body will be taken by plane to Minsk in the evening, where the journalist will be buried tomorrow, July 23.

Journalist Pavel Sheremet was killed in the morning of July 20 in downtown Kyiv in an explosion of a car he was driving. The car belonged to owner of Ukrainska Pravda news website Olena Prytula, although she was not in the car. Police has preliminary qualified the explosion as a premeditated murder.

According to preliminary data, a self-made explosive device was triggered in the journalist's car, with an equivalent of 400 to 600 grams of explosive yield. An alarm response force has been created for investigation of the killing, with planned involvement of FBI representatives.
