The combined assault force of the Ukrainian troops liberated miner town of Toretsk (former Dzerzhynsk) from the Russian terrorists two years ago, July 21, 2014.

As reported by Censor.NET, the Ukrainian soldiers entered the city at about 6 a.m. on July 21 and captured the terrorists' headquarters. 33 soldiers and eight commandos from the covering party were heroically repelling the attacks committed by more than 200 armed militants reinforced by two tanks and infantry fighting vehicles for almost eight hours. The soldiers managed to hold the line and the Ukrainian troops gained full control over the city and raised the Ukrainian flag in it by the evening.

During clashes in the town, the Ukrainian military captured several terrorists who failed to flee with the main militants' forces.
