Moscow Orthodox hieromonach gathered information about Ukrainian army as "DPR" scout. VIDEO (in Russian)

A video testimony of an hieromonach of the Ukrainian Orthodox church of Moscow Patriarchate about his cooperation with "DPR" militants went online.

As reported by Censor.NET, acting hieromonach of St. Nicholas monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox church of Moscow Patriarchate in Nikolske village, Volnovakha district, the Donetsk region, Heorhii Kratyrov told he had been recruited by "DPR" militants in May 2014.

Since then, he has been gathering information about redeployment and activities of the Ukrainian army units and passing it to his curator, militant Artem Tersimonov, via social media.

At the same time, in May 2014, the priest had been contacted by Russian reporter from NTV channel Sergey Sherov, who said he had worked in FSB previously.

Sherov asked the priest to tell a made-up story about Ukrainian army's vehicles stopped by civilians near Blahodatne village.

"I told how the commander of the convoy ordered his subordinates to open fire upon civilians. Later, I actively cooperated with Sherov by transferring recordings of Donetsk shelling and blaming Ukrainian soldiers of it. In fact, I did not know who was shelling the residential areas of the city," the hieromonach admitted.
