Slipak will be buried in his native Lviv region on July 1.

Fighter of the 7th Battalion of the Volunteer Ukrainian Corps, opera singer Wassyl Slipak (call sign "Meph") was killed in the ATO area at 6 a.m. on June 29. He had lived and worked in France for 19 years as a Paris opera singer but abandoned his career and chose to defend Ukraine when Russia unleashed its aggression against the country.
