Deputy chairman of the Public Monitoring Committee of the Republic of Komi (Russian Federation) Ernest Mezak wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"The day before yesterday, Hennadii Afanasiev told the members of the PMC of Komi that Russian officials continue to impose a Russian passport on him. He even wanted to go on a hunger strike protesting against this," Mezak wrote.
"I explained to him that Russian passport is not worth it and proposed to confine himself to a public statement. Here it is," he added.
