Rada passes e-declarations law amended by Poroshenko. VIDEO

The Verkhovna Rada at its plenary meeting on Tuesday adopted the bill No. 3755 on electronic income declarations of public officials, as amended by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

The decision was supported by 278 deputies, Censor.NET reports.


As per amendments, the criminal liability for incorrect data is introduced only in case of underdeclaration of income exceeding 250 minimum wages (UAH 1,378) that is UAH 344,450 (approx. $12,850).

The parliament passed the law on Feb. 16, 2016.

The law is intended to ensure the launch of a new electronic system aimed at verifying asset declarationsSource:http://en.censor.net.ua/n374763 of public officials holding posts with high corruption risks.

As reported, this is the last law required for the introduction of a visa-free regime between Ukraine and the European Union.
