Unsuccessful storm of Al Kurdi village by Syrian pro-government forces ended up in 25 killed attackers. VIDEO

The National Defense Forces (NDF) and the Palestine Liberation Army (Palestinian wing of the Syrian Arab Army) launched an offensive to recapture the imperative hilltop village of Tal Kurdi in the East Ghouta region of rural Damascus on Sunday morning.

Censor.NET reports citing Al-Masdar News.

However, the offensive did not go as planned by the pro-government forces. It ended in a disaster instead, as more than 25 militants were gunned down by the well-trained Jaysh Al-Islam (Army of Islam) fighters, who videotaped firing at the PLA and NDF militants running in the open field.

The footage of the attack was posted by the activists from Jaysh Al-Islam.

This confirmed the failure of the assault committed by the pro-government forces, as it ended without casualties among the defenders. The Tal Kurdi offensive was not only poorly executed, but poorly planned as well. This was likely the fault of commanders who thought they could send poorly-trained recruits into a well-defended garrison controlled by veterans.

In the past few weeks, the Syrian Armed Forces have advanced all over the Eastern Ghouta region; however, as of recently, the Syrian Arab Army's Central Command has concentrated a large amount of soldiers in the Western Ghouta in order to begin major offensive on Darayya.
