 "I was afraid to stop the car for it was not mine and I was drunk," – BMW driver whose passenger was shot dead in night pursuit commented on incident. VIDEO

Rostyslav Hrapachevskyi, the BMW driver who was escaping from the police officers on the night of Feb. 7., admitted that he was drunk while driving. He did not stop at the request of the patrol police officers as he was not the owner of the car and was afraid that it will be attached. However, he does not consider that the force had to be used to stop him.

Rostyslav Hrapachevskyi was the one behind BMW wheel Saturday night. He ignored the requests of the police officers to stop the vehicle and started getting away, forcing the police officers to make warning shots. Subsequently, the police officers tried to shoot the vehicle's tires down and injured passenger Mykhailo Medviediev, who succumbed to injuries. Another BMW passenger Maksym Kryvonos survived, Censor.NET reports citing business.ua.

Rostyslav Hrapachevskyi tried to explain his actions in an interview, without realizing their severity, obviously.
