This was announced by the press center of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
The project has been launched in "Kyiv" checkpoint as part of the reforms of the State Border Service of Ukraine.
The military have been selected from among 400 candidates and have been subsequently trained by the State Border Service. The main requirements included fluent Ukrainian and a foreign language, psychological resistance, and sportsmanship. The personnel has been also trained by migration experts from the U.S., Germany, Estonia, and the EU Border Assistance Mission.
"The goal is to reach European level of servicing citizens at the checkpoint," Viktor Nazarenko, representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine said in his congratulation speech in the airport.
He reminded that border guards are the face of the country, for they are the first whom arriving foreign passengers meet when coming to Ukraine.
