The Security Service of Ukraine has disguised and arrested leader and members of an undercover “DPR” terrorist group in the Zaporizhia region.

Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the SBU press center.

According to the statement, the group consisted of four local residents. Its leader was the current criminal investigator of one of the district police departments in the Zaporizhia region.

The person recruited supporters of Russian aggression to collect and transmit intelligence on the territorial defense of the Zaporizhia region and Ukrainian military units to the "DPR" terrorists. The leader also planned to organize several terrorist attacks in the region. The members of the group have organized delivery of ammunition and explosives from the anti-terrorist operation area to commit the attacks.

The explosives and fuses, as well as ammunition for automatic weapons, drugs, printing materials with separatist symbols, and means of communication with the "DPR" terrorists have been seized from the attackers during search.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated under article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (assistance and participation in terrorist activity).

The leader of the group have been served notice of suspicion of committing a crime and remanded into custody.

The investigation is underway.
