 High-rise building of Kharkiv Research Institute is in flames. VIDEO

A major fire has broken out in the building of the Research Institute on Akademik Pavlov Street in Kharkiv July 27 in the evening. The firefighters assessed the fire as an extensive one.

Censor.NET reports citing the State Emergency Service of Ukraine press center.

The press service reported that the firefighters and Rescue Service detachments from several districts of Kharkiv have left for the scene.

"Upon arrival at the scene, it was established that the fire spread in the premises on the upper floors of the nonresidential building. The firefighters' headquarters announced the increased "third" level of fire complexity. 80-strong crew from the firefighting departments from nine district of Kharkiv as well as 16 tankers, three aerial ladders, three rescue vehicles of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine are directly involved in extinguishing of fire," the report reads.

The emergency response team of the Main Directorate of State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv region headed by the Chief of the Regional Main Directorate of the agency is currently working on-site. There is currently no detailed information on the incident.
