 Police officers used weapons to seize a vehicle in Kyiv's downtown. VIDEO

A shootout happened in Kyiv's downtown, at Slavy Square.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Ukrainska Pravda, at around 12:35 p.m. on Wednesday seven men in camouflage uniform and armed vests with 'Police' signs, armed with machine guns, pulled even with a minibus. They approached the gray vehicle and attempted a detainment of a driver and his passengers. The law enforcers broke the vehicle's window glass and attempted to get the driver out. At this moment, the minibus pulled away, the policemen shot at wheels several times.

As the minibus managed to leave the scene, the armed men followed it by two SUVs.



The police reached the minibus several blocks from the spot and detained the persons in question.
