"The militants impudently moved forward on their BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle and started shelling positions of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade around 7 p.m. They fired less than 10 shots with the mounted gun before being caught in the sight of the Mospyne task force gunner, whom the 93rd Brigade was providing covering fire to," the report reads.
The enemy armored vehicle was destroyed in retaliation fire.
"As a result, there is still a pillar of smoke in the middle of the field caused by the burning armored vehicle while ammunition occasionally explodes inside it. As expected, no fellow-terrorists showed up to rescue the crew," the military noted.
