"The downing of MH17 aircraft proved that terrorism is a tumor which is dangerous for the mankind. All world democracies must unite their efforts in a struggle against this problem," the Head of State said, Censor.NET reports citing the President's press service.
Petro Poroshenko emphasized that aggression against Ukraine and illegal annexation of Crimea had severely violated basic principles of the international law. "I was glad to hear a clear statement from you that your countries will never recognize the annexation of Crimea and will support territorial integrity of Ukraine," the President noted.
The Head of State stressed that security guarantees provided to Ukraine, including the Budapest memorandum, didn't work. "International-legal mechanisms were unable to prevent the aggression against Ukraine. We must together find a way to maintain peace and stability in the world in various multilateral formats - NATO, EU, UN," Petro Poroshenko said.
