 Ministry of Internal Affairs Has Dismissed 3,679 Law Enforcement Officers Since Fighting Started in the Donbas. VIDEO

The Interior Ministry has fired 3,679 law enforcers in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions during the anti-terrorist operation (ATO).

Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs on the resettlement of citizens from the ATO area Zorian Shkiriak announced this at a briefing, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"3679 police officers have been fired in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions during the ATO. Some of them did it on their own accord, others for misbehavior and the oath-breaking," he said.

Shkiriak added that several dozen criminal cases are filed against former employees at present moment.

In addition, he also announced that the law enforcement officers arrested first deputy chief of Rubizhne town police in the Luhansk region.

"This man has personally handed over 30 pieces of small arms to the separatists and other 6 he has sold to Lysychansk city chief prosecutor who is now on the run and wanted," he added.
