Tymoshenko Nominated Single Opposition Candidate in Presidential Elections. VIDEO

Arseniy Yatsenyuk said that a single opposition candidate in the presidential election will be the leader of the opposition Yulia Tymoshenko.

According to RBK-Ukraine, Yatsenyuk made the according statement at the expanded meeting of Batkivschyna United opposition.

All members of the opposition council signed a document.

Council Decision

Batkivschyna United Opposition

on the nomination of opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko a candidate

in Ukrainian Presidential Elections

We, the members of the Batkivschyna United Opposition having held an extended meeting on December 7, 2012, having summed up the results of the parliamentary election campaign in 2012 and outlined the activities of the opposition in the newly elected parliament, have discussed the participation of the Batkivschyna United Opposition in the upcoming presidential elections and decided that the single candidate for the post of the President of Ukraine will be Yulia Tymoshenko.

Change the destiny of the country is only possible when all the democratic forces will be united around one idea and one leader. Our main strength is in unity. And the elections of 2012 proved that despite the massive fraud, blatant stealing of votes and global use of administrative resources it is absolutely real to defeat the criminal Yanukovych regime using combined efforts.

That is why the Council of the United Opposition consisting of leaders of political parties decided to nominate a single candidate for the highest office in the Ukrainian state at regular or early presidential elections - Yulia Volodymyrivna Tymoshenko.

We also call on other political parties and civil organizations to join our initiative and unite behind a single candidate from the democratic forces.
