According to the Ukrainian Pravda, the statement was made by opposition leader Arseniy Yatsenyuk during the Rada session.
"As for the success of this government, I will rely solely on numbers: 1.8 million Ukrainians are currently unemployed, and every 5th young Ukrainian is also out of work; according to UN estimates, 36 million people live below the poverty line," said Yatsenyuk.
He added that the government has increased the external debt to nearly 500 billion hryvnia.
"This figure is twice as much compared to the time when Yanukovych and Azarov came to power," explained Yatsenyuk.
"The rising costs of maintaining this regime in the last 2.5 years has reached to 25 billion hryvnia. Daily maintenance of Yanukovych costs taxpayers 4 million hryvnia," said Yatsenyuk.
In addition, he said, over the past 2 years "this government and this President closed 300 hospitals and 700 schools."
"Ukraine is finally number one. But in ratings of corruption, unemployment, and hopelessness," said Yatsenyuk.
