Head of the agency, Petro Tsyhykal, wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"August 2014 was one of the most difficult months for border guards since the ATO [anti-terrorist operation - ed.] started. Three years ago, border guarding units and checkpoints in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions were brazenly shelled and attacked by terrorists. On Aug. 6-7, the aggressor troops shelled the border guarding units from heavy weapons, the units that were leaving the so-called Dovzhanskyi entrapment after 22 days of heroic defense of the border. The breakthrough lasted for three days...
"With pain in our hearts we are remembering the names of our fallen fighters: Serhii Lyfar, Viktor Dykhtievskyi, Ihor Prysiazhniuk, Oleh Kyslytskyi, Yevhen Kolesnichenko, Mykola Antypov, Serhii Boiko, Oleksandr Zaiets, Viktor Kumanovskyi, and Vitalii Ptitsyn. Five border guards went missing: Dmytro Ushkalov, Oleksandr Ovcharyk, Serhii Meleshko, Oleksandr Savchenko, and Oleksandr Topal.
"We will never forget our comrades! Eternal glory to the heroes," Tsyhykal wrote.
