"At around 8 p.m. July 24, at D.O.M. cafe at 92 Gagarina Avenue in Dnipro, four men approached a group of ATO veterans by car. The men exchanged some phrases, and then these four suddenly opened fire from automated weapons upon the former servicemen," Butusov wrote.
The journalist said one man was killed on spot - Oleksii Vahner, former volunteer fighter of the 20th Motorized Infantry Battalion of the 93rd Brigade, a passionate person and citizen, participant of the clashes with criminal gangs in Dnipro on May 9.
Former fighter of the 11th Motorized Infantry Battalion of the 59th Brigade Maksym Ivashchuk was fatally wounded and died on his way to hospital.

Another person was wounded in his abdomen - prominent attorney, volunteer, and former fighter of the 20th Motorized Infantry Battalion Edmond Saakian. Edmond is a friend of Vahner and acted as his attorney in the trial against the criminals who attacked ATO participants in Dnipro on May 9.
Saakian has been taken to Mechnykova hospital in Dnipro.
As reported, in the evening of July 24, well-known volunteer fighter and attorney to victims of May 9 clashes in Dnipro Edmond Saakian was wounded by unknown persons from automated weapon. ATO veteran Oleksii Vahner, who served with Saakian in the 20th battalion of the 93rd brigade, was killed on spot. Another former ATO participant, Maksym Ivashchuk, received a fatal wound and died on his way to the hospital.
