Obolonskyi district court of Kyiv in the morning of June 26 held its first hearing on the merits of the case against former President Yanukovych charged with high treason.

10:33 Judge Deviatko says Yanukovych was offered to have conference calls with the court three times, and postpones the hearing until 10 a.m. June 29.

10:29 Lawyer Serdiuk says his client is ready to participate in hearings if the court sends an official request through its Justice Ministry to government bodies of Russia, to enable Yanukovych to testify via Skype from Rostov's court. Serdiuk insists it's his client right to do so.
