This was announced by MP of Petro Poroshenko Bloc Olha Chervakova on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"It's not red, it's black line that these beasts crossed today," Chervakova wrote.
She said Wednesday morning, at 7:30 a.m., head of territorial election committee Liudmyla Demchenko was beaten in the yard of her own house in Kotsiubynske.
One of the attackers was stopped by passers-by. Chervakova said he confessed that he was ordered to beat Demchenko by someone named Serhii. The man was allegedly paid 1,000 hryvnia and given exact order where to go and who to attack, MP wrote.
Chervakova said she blamed local police and prosecutor's office for inactivity, which encourages local 'titushkas' to terrorize the town with 15,000 population. She asked the head of the National Police and interior minister to control the investigation and deal with those officials who cover illegal operations and violence there.
Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko commented on Chervakova's status: "I have taken it under control."
