Turchynov in Marinka: Ukrainian soldiers act relevant to threats and are ready to repulse any provocations by enemy. PHOTOS

Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov arrived in Marinka and Krasnohorivka, the Donetsk region, due to the escalation of combat activities in the anti-terrorist operation area (ATO) and casualties among civilians caused by heavy shelling by the enemy.

Turchynov held an operational meeting with ATO commanders and checked fortifications at the defense line, Censor.NET reports citing NSDC's press office.

The NSDC secretary said that the Russian occupation troops had been attacking not only Ukraine's positions there but also civilian facilities, "which is a deliberate crime sanctioned by the Kremlin."

Turchynov reminded of the damages inflicted to Krasnohorivka's school and hospital several days ago.

"Despite complicated operative situation, our soldiers act relevant to the threats and are ready to repulse any provocations by the enemy," Turchynov said.
