This was announced by InformNapalm volunteer community, Censor.NET reports.
The 22nd Special Purpose Brigade of the Russian GRU has been featured in InformNapalm investigations several times. Now another "double-jobber" has been identified among its servicemen. The volunteers found a social media account of some Maxim Palestin, and managed to disclose more information about him.
Apanasov Maxim Vitalyevich
Born Sept. 20, 1989. Resident of Rostov Oblast, Russia.
Social media accounts: VK (archives of profile, photo album, contacts).
Judging from his photo album, the "Ukrainian trip" of Apanasov started in 2014. His album has tons of slides dedicated the so-called "Novorosiya" and photos of him in the Donbas.
Since the second half of 2016, Apanasov's album has changed. It now has photos showing him as a serviceman of the Russian army, including those relating to the 22nd Brigade.
One of the most recently uploaded images (February 2017) is probably a sign of nostalgia: it shows Apanasov on an IFV in November 2014 at Debaltseve, the Donetsk region.
Apanasov has been listed on the Myrotvorets (Peacemaker) website since June 2015 as a Russian mercenary and a member of an illegal armed gang.
