Member of Ukrainian Parliament Serhii Leshchenko says detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) arrived in Feofania hospital in Kyiv larger area to detain Head of State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov.

As reported by Censor.NET, the lawmaker wrote on Facebook.

"NABU is apprehending Nasirov in Feofania. He is charged with money laundering for Onyshchenko," Leshchenko said.

Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Head Nazar Kholodnytskyi told Censor.NET earlier today that the law enforcers were carrying out searches in the premises of the State Fiscal Service.

NABU press service later confirmed detention of senior official: "Nasirov was detained in the Feofania hospital during a search conducted under 'gas case' investigation."

The law enforcers are undertaking investigative actions against State Fiscal Service chairman.

"We have information that he has been detained. However we cannot tell whether he has been served an indictment so far," a spokesperson for NABU said.

A journalist for Skhemy project also reported from the scene: "State Fiscal Service Chairman Nasirov is now in Feofania hospital. NABU detectives and SAP prosecutor have arrived here."
