Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko reports about successful operation to apprehend the head of Social Security disability fund under the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine as he was receiving 700,000 hryvnia (about $25,800) a bribe.

As reported by Censor.NET, Lutsenko wrote on Facebook.

The prosecutor general wrote: "The Main Investigation Directorate of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine in conjunction with the officers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) apprehend the chief of Social Security disability fund operating under the Ministry of the Social Policy of Ukraine for extorting 700,000 hryvnia from his subordinate, a regional branch director. This amount is a 10-percent share of the funds allocated for the entire region on social programs for disabled.

"The grafter was detained red-handed today," Lutsenko wrote.
