As reported by Censor.NET, several examples of such "media terrorism" were introduced in the investigation by InformNapalm international volunteer community.
The militants-controlled propaganda mouthpiece called Luhansk Information Center has recently published a number of articles on detachments of the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly trying to force units of the so-called "People's Militia of "LPR" out from their positions in Debaltseve by artillery strikes. Moreover, the Russian propagandists posted pictures and footage of damage caused by two separate shells that hit residential neighborhoods. The Russian propaganda machine showed the shelling as "a Ukrainian army punitive operation," even though it's nothing compared to the deliberate slaughter of innocent civilians by the Russian invaders in the Ukrainian Novosvitlivka or Syrian Aleppo," the article reads.
"These reports attracted interest of investigative volunteers, as they had many inconsistencies....The shells hit garages between the houses at 9 and 11 Kurchatova Str. in Debaltseve. The video filmed by News Front propaganda TV channel shows damage inflicted to the house but it does not show the hits themselves, it does not show craters," the investigators note.
The footage shows only one hit in the garages located between the houses at 9 and 11 Kurchatova Str.
"It was an explosion but not a projectile hit that caused the ceiling collapse. This suggests that the ammunition was low-yield (e.g. 82 mm mortar shell) with accuracy range up to 3-4 km, while the Ukrainian troops' positions closest to Debaltseve are situated at least 12 km away in the northern and north-westerly direction according to the most optimistic estimates," the article reads.

The shrapnel dispersion pattern pointing at the house at 9 Kurchatova Str. can be clearly identified by the damage on the garage roof.
Therefore, the projectile likely came from the western or south-westerly direction with no detachments of the Ukrainian Armed Forces deployed.
Another investigation was dedicated to a private house in Novohryhorivka damaged by a shelling.
Novohryhorivka, private house, location.
"The militants brought no OSCE observers there, only Russian propagandists arrived. A man on the video, an alleged owner of the house, claimed he saw an approaching projectile and showed the direction which it allegedly came from. However, the probability to actually see an approaching shell is very small (almost zero)," the investigators say.
Moreover, there was no trace of the explosion inside the house.
A Russian officer of JCCC (Joint Center for Control and Coordination) is taking part in evidence tampering: he is identifying northern direction without a compass. The direction he has indicated differs from the real one by 30 degrees!
After that, a fairly large shell fragment with no information about the direction which it came from is shown to the audience.
The same fragment is depicted on a separate photo in the hands of a member of the occupation authorities or a Russian propagandist.
The shelling of a church also perfectly fits into the concept of the "Pax Russica" ("Russian world") advocating protection of the Russian-speaking population and Orthodox Christianity.
"In view of the abovementioned facts, the question about the competence level of the OSCE representatives is still open. The investigation casts doubt on the observers' ability and competence to conduct thorough and objective monitoring of attacks taking into account all aspects of the possible provocations since visual inspection and the fact of shelling is enough for them to automatically add it to the assaults committed by the Ukrainian side. This definitely plays into the hands of the Russian propagandists but does not reflect the reality and the extent of the ongoing processes masterly orchestrated by the Kremlin," the volunteers summed up.
