"Andrii Kravchenko was born on March 26, 1971 in Kryvyi Rih. He graduated from Kryvyi Rih comprehensive school No. 28 and then entered the former vocational school No. 8. He worked as gas welding operator at Baturyn railroad station. Andrii was conscripted in March 2014, served as a scout-grenade launcher operator in a reconnaissance company of the 17th Separate Tank Brigade. He died Sept. 18, 2014 near the village of Kalynove in the Popasna district of the Luhansk region when his recon team was ambushed by the terrorists. Five other scouts perished then together with Andrii. Dec. 15 was declared a day of mourning in Kryvyi Rih: the flags are flying half mast while the leisure activities have been cancelled. May the memory and glory of the hero live forever!" the volunteer added.
