Eight passengers were injured in a car accident near Bakhmut town in the Donetsk region, Censor.NET reports citing the National Police in the Donetsk region.
"The cars collided at 694 km of Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhanskyi road. Both drivers and passengers got wounds," the statement reads.
It was found out that UAZ-452 minivan has crossed into the oncoming lane and rammed into Ford Sierra at around 5 a.m.
The drivers, three UAZ and three Ford passengers were wounded as a result of the accident.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under article 286 (part 1 - violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
