The parties discussed cooperation between Ukraine and the U.K., the situation in the east of Ukraine, and regular violations of the Minsk agreements by the Russian-terrorist groups, Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
The NSDC secretary stressed the need to strengthen partnership between the countries including in the military and technical sector. According to Turchynov, the domestic defense industry is "open to investors from the United Kingdom."
"Strengthening Ukraine's defense capability means strengthening security in Europe," he said.
In turn, Judith Gough said that the U.K. had supported and would continue supporting Ukraine in its efforts to protect its territorial integrity as well as on its path to the implementation of reforms and European integration.
The interlocutors stressed the need to maintain sanctions against the Russian Federation to deter its aggressive warmongering menacing peace in Europe.
