The vehicle has been found by volunteers of InformNapalm international volunteer community, Censor.NET reports.
"It all started when we watched a video posted in September 2014 on Voronezh, Russia, city portal 36on with a propagandist title "Novorossia Front Line: Hello to Wife and Son!" The video was shot on the square near the city council in Perevalsk, the Luhansk region, Ukraine," the authors of the article wrote.
As it happens, when filming an alleged 'war trophy,' journalists flashed an MT-LB with a large-caliber machine gun instead of a standard turret mounting. Such exact modifications of MT-LB have been produced at the Russian Muromteplovoz plant since 1990s and never been exported in Ukraine, although somehow they ended up servicing Luhansk region 'miner fighters.'
"We could have simply reported another fact of presence of Russian military hardware in the Donbas, but one specific detail captured our attention. The periscope is located on the roof of the vehicle instead of its right side structure. In addition, the vehicle is painted with irregular three-color camo pattern," the article reads.

MT-LB recently seen on video in the Luhansk region:
The authors of the investigation write they have analyzed numerous albums of mountain brigades of the Russian army that have this type of vehicle in service (the 8th, the 33rd, the 34th, and the 200th brigades) and participated in combat activities in the Donbas. They revealed that vehicles of exactly the same coloring are in service of the 34th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian army.
"Another MT-LB of this specific coloring was destroyed by Ukrainian units near a checkpoint in Marynivka of the Donetsk region in August 2014," the authors note.
While this material was being prepared by InformNapalm volunteers, an image was found online of at least two MT-LBs of the 34th Brigade of the Russian Army in Perevalsk in September 2014.
