At a press conference before the show, the band's lead vocalist Sviatoslav Vakarchuk said that life in Kramatorsk was tense but peaceful, while in 50 kilometers from the city the war is underway.
Vakarchuk said that "the faster Ukraine develops as a country, the faster the people get rich and the economy grows, the faster the war will end."
Later, Vakarchuk Twitted about his impressions of the performance: "Kramatorsk! The whole Donbas was here with us today! A historic concert!"
