Ukraine's Interior Minister Arsen Avakov wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
As noted, out of 130,000 employees prescribed by a personnel chart, only 109,628 people are in service at the moment.
"The National Police lacks 18,875 police officers and 1,497 civil servants," the minister wrote.
As a result of the National Police recertification, 5,257 people have been dismissed, 4,766 recommended for demotion, 4,479 recommended for promotion, according to Avakov.
"In the near future, upon verification, we will issue a complete list of those who failed and passed the recertification. The officers of special task units (volunteer battalions) who are serving in the anti-terrorist operation area are recertified under a special procedure, and the results of their reassessment will be made public upon the completion of formalities connected with the rotation process in the ATO area," the minister added.
