Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"The PGO's Department Investigating Major Frauds in conjunction with the SBU's Department Combating Corruption and the National Police Internal Security Department detained member of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine and a lawyer who extorted $200,000 from a businessman for closure of criminal case filed against him and lifting attachment of his property," he wrote.
"This is the 18th prosecutor apprehended during screening of the system since I have headed the PGO. The cases against 10 bribe-takers have already been referred to courts," Lutsenko added.
