The president wrote on his Facebook page, Censor.NET reports.
"Strengthening the transatlantic unity and solidarity with Ukraine is vital in confrontation with the Russian aggression. This is one of the issues we discussed at the meeting with U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Today, Ukraine fights for freedom and democratic values that unite the whole civilized world!" Poroshenko wrote.
The president thanked Ms. Clinton for constant support for Ukraine.

"I am looking forward to our discussion about Ukraine's progress, the challenges you face, the very real problems and threats from Russian aggression, and anxious to know how we can be supportive of those efforts," Clinton told Poroshenko as cited by LA Times.
As reported, Ukraine's president is on a visit to New York for the 71st UN General Assembly.
