Omran Daqneesh is the name of a little Syrian boy who was one of five children injured in the Qaterji neighborhood of Aleppo Aug. 17, Censor.NET reports citing The Telegraph.
As reported, the kid was injured in a Russian or Assad regime strike.
Raf Sanchez, a British reporter, was one of the first to post the boy's photo online. The picture, which was shared thousands of times on social media, shows Omran with eyes glassy with shock, who seems hardly aware of the blood seeping from a wound in his forehead. Video footage shot by the Aleppo Media Center shows rescuers pulling him from the rubble of a house and sitting him in the back of an ambulance.
