As noted, the drills are taking place at the training center of KORD and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
"The program of the training conducted by FBI and KORD instructors has been made possible thanks to the agreement between the U.S. government and the government of Ukraine on the assistance in law enforcement and criminal justice," Deputy Head of KORD Department Mykola Putii said.
According to him, such joint exercise has been held in Ukraine for several times now, their key purpose being the implementation of best foreign practices.
"The program is supposed to demonstrate the FBI's tactics employed during detention of offenders and its indoor actions, the use of the latest techniques of our foreign partners in apprehending criminals with the help of weapons and without them," Putii noted.
The American instructors will also demonstrate their Ukrainian counterparts the basic level of using SWAT police unit in special operations.
As previously reported, more than 40 KORD fighters completed a special course at the training center and returned to the place of service in the Sumy and Kyiv regions.
The Odesa and Zhytomyr regions are said to be the next to see the deployment of KORD.
