A range of priority measures to counter cyber threats has been presented at the meeting, Censor.NET reports citing NSDC press service.
According to Turchynov, the examination of materials received from intelligence agencies, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine "gives every reason to believe that the Russian Federation is actively pursuing an aggressive policy not only at the front line in the east of Ukraine, but also in cyberspace, which is part of the hybrid war against our country."
"Other cyber threats are being employed, in particular growing cyber crime and cyber espionage have been registered," he said.
Talking about the National Coordination Center for Cyber Security, Turchynov said that it should become the backbone element of Ukraine's whole system of cyber security and cyber defense.
"Particular attention will be paid to the process of information processing, the development of effective mechanisms for a rapid response to threats," he said, adding that every challenge coming from cyberspace "must be countered by our active and asymmetrical response."
