On Thursday, the Verkhovna Rada was planning to consider the bill on special confiscation, which regulates the return of unconfirmed assets to the state, as well as the issue of the National Bank council members' dismissal and appointment of new members under the parliamentary quota. These issues are listed in the Rada's agenda for today, Ukrainski Novyny reports.
The total of 60 matters for consideration have been included in today's agenda of the parliament.
Earlier, the Radical Party faction MPs have blocked the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada over several plenary weeks now, demanding to create a provisional investigatory commission to investigate corruption in the government. They were joined by Batkivshchyna faction MPs and several non-affiliated lawmakers yesterday, July 5. The rostrum and presidium of the Verkhovna Rada have been blocked. Blockade continues today as well. The basic requirements of the PMs are utility rates reduction and initiation of the investigation into offshore companies owned by the president and his retinue. The Verkhovna Rada has not been working since yesterday afternoon.
