National Bank's head accused Ukrainian media of corruption
"Prior to transformation, the National Bank owned medical and health centers for treatment of employees in the central office in Kyiv and in the regions. These units were eliminated as a non-core and untypical function for a central bank at the end of last year. However, an impressive list of medical equipment and medicines, which are not used for other purposes, remained on the balance of the National Bank.
"Realizing that the military who protect our country need this equipment the most, we decided to transfer all the available medical equipment of the central bank for the need of the soldiers," acting Director of the Supply Department of the NBU Yaroslav Ilnytskyi said.
