Censor.NET reports citing the press center of the State Emergency Service.
According to preliminary information, there were 35 people in the building.
"The State Emergency Service employees have rescued 18 people, five of whom were hospitalized with burns. The fire was brought under control at 05:25 a.m.
Five dead bodies were discovered at the scene as of 6:30 a.m. The fate of 12 people remained unknown.
Later at a briefing, head of the State Emergency Service Mykola Chechetkin has confirmed death of 17 people. All 17 bodies have been found as of 11 a.m.
