 Grenade lobbed at MP Parasiuk’s car, lawmaker unhurt. PHOTO

Unknown individuals have thrown a hand grenade at the car of Ukrainian MP Volodymyr Parasiuk.

Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Batkivshchyna fraction) Ihor Lutsenko wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"Someone has lobbed a grenade at Parasiuk's car. I'm heading there right now," Lutsenko wrote.

Member of the Lviv city council Ihor Zinkevych later reported: "Volodymyr is all right, but the car has been damaged."

Hromadske TV correspondent has informed from the scene that according to preliminary information obtained from MP Ihor Lutsenko, an RGD-5 grenade was thrown at the car. It was also reported that four cars parked nearby were damaged.

According to witnesses, several unidentified individuals fled the scene after the explosion. The law enforcers reported that all the evidence was collected from the scene. The bomb-experts were expected to arrive.

Police also found out that Parasiuk parked his car not on the usual place this time, so there was another car between his vehicle and the place of the explosion.

According to Hromadske TV correspondent, Parasiuk has not been injured by the blast and is currently giving testimony to police in an ambulance.
