Member of the evaluation commission for the selection of personnel in the National Police Roman Sinitsyn writes on Facebook, Censor.NET reports. "Huge areas. Tens of thousands of people. Hundreds of hectares of destroyed forests. Tens of millions of dollars, proportionally deposited in the diggers' pockets in Sarny and Manevychi, dealers' pockets in Lutsk and Rivne and generals' pockets in Kyiv and Zhytomyr, as well as pockets of the European mafia because most amber is smuggled for export," the volunteer said.
"To somehow resolve and organize the process, mechanized brigades should come to Polissia, not special forces, such as former Berkut or the volunteer battalions. Curfew and rigid responsibility for illegal extraction should be introduced, while the criminals must really go to jail. The criminals should be shot to kill if necessary. We should prepare for riots and protests in the Polissia area, simultaneously developing legal mechanisms of extraction. Because we will have a lunar landscape instead of Polissia soon. The ecosystem will be destroyed. Without real authorities the power of diggers has arised," Sinitsyn said.

Here is a video of one of the police special forces units: https://www.facebook.com/romabra/videos/10201249197790119/ "The security officers in the field are paid. Everything has its price tag. It costs $ X00 to pick up a confiscated pump. In their spare time, Polissia cops also dig amber, as well as their children and relatives... Those who still do not dig, dream of digging. "To get to the brigade." There is everything: the romantic of amber fever, big money, mafia, guns, and murder. A whole industry," the activist reports.

"In fact, kids from whole districts in the Polissia area skip classes starting from primary school. They have their own heroes and antiheroes. 16-year-old Vasia dug enough to buy Toyota Land Cruiser 200. However, he crashed it last weekend at the club. Vagrants from Kyiv and the security forces, who appropriated a couple of dozen kilograms of amber in the forest last month. Checkpoints, weapons, intelligence... You can meet people from eight to 80 years there. Each of them pays for the right to dig. A day of operation of the pump costs a couple of hundred dollars," Sinitsyn notes.
