Kyiv, Lviv, Moscow, and London are seeing Free Savchenko rallies today, while about 20 activists have been arrested in Moscow for holding a picket in support of the illegally detained Ukrainian pilot.

In Kyiv, Free Savchenko rally participants marched from the building of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry to the Russian embassy. A few hundred people took part in the event - MPs, cultural figures, and citizens, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainska Pravda.

Several camo-clad men brought tires at the building of the Russian embassy in Kyiv. The police immediately cordoned off the tires, while those who brought them moved away from the main entrance, UNIAN reports. After that, the unknown men and participants of the rally had a dispute about the appropriateness of possible radical actions. A bit later, the men left the area outside the embassy, got in a car with the Azov logo, and drove away.

At the moment, a few rally participants stay near the embassy, as well as law enforcers, some of them guarding the tires.

Another Free Savchenko rally took place outside the Embassy of the EU Delegation to Ukraine. The participants demanded that the European Union introduce personal sanctions against certain Russian citizens and those involved in the trial against Savchenko.
