 Mobile team attacked with anti-tank grenade launchers, sniper rifles, and machine guns near Triokhizbenka, - Interior Ministry spokesperson. PHOTOS

The ‘Shchastia’ mobile team was fired at in the Luhansk region today, March 1. The enemy employed RPG-7, RPG-18 grenade launchers, SVD sniper rifles, Kalashnikov machine guns and assault rifles from a dominating position.

Interior Ministry Public Relations Department Head Artem Shevchenko wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"This mauled Humvee of the combined mobile anti-smuggling task force (State Fiscal Service and Security Service of Ukraine) was ambushed near Triokhizbenka in the Luhansk region today. The enemy's subversive and reconnaissance group started assaulting it from a dominating position across the river - on the opposite hostile bank of the Siverskyi Donets River using RPG-7 and RPG-18 grenade launchers, SVD sniper rifles, Kalashnikov machine guns and assault rifles," he wrote.

"We have three our soldiers injured as a result. The attack took place nearly in the same location where the mobile team of SBU officer with call sign Andrew was destroyed Sept. 2015. Leonid Pantykin from the Luhansk-1 Police Battalion and Viktor Nikoliuk, a scout from the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, engaged in the battle, but without much success. The enemy has got pretty brazen of late," Shevchenko wrote.
