As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the press service of the Patrol Police of Ukraine on Facebook.
According to the message, a witness dialed police at 102 and said he saw a red VAZ car damaged a parked Audi and left the scene.
"After three minutes the driver was stopped. The level of alcohol in his blood was nine times higher than allowed. The patrol officers started to file a protocol for drunk driving, when the driver, who looked calm, jumped into his car and pulled off. Moreover, he hit a police officer and dragged him on the hood. He even attempted to speed up, but was threatened with weapons, and the car stopped," the message reads.
Police also informed that the detainee had served two times in jail for robbery. He was taken to a police department.
The police officer hit by the car did not require hospitalization, the press service noted.
